On September 29, 2006,
The Heart of Camden acquired the Church of Our Savior at
Broadway and Viola Streets. The Church is a significant contributing
structure to the South Camden Historic District. It was designed
by George Hewitt and constructed in 1881.
The Church will be transformed into the South Camden Shipbuilding
Museum.
