Environment

The Heart of Camden realizes that housing is just one component of the whole community.  It recognizes that in order to facilitate a more complete revitalization of the Waterfront South neighborhood the economic, social and environmental systems across this urban landscape must be addressed holistically.

The goal of the Heart of Camden's Environment Division is to repair the historic Waterfront South neighborhood through mitigating and addressing the environmental issues that have contributed to the neighborhood's decline such as air pollution, soil and water contamination and overall urban ecosystem dysfunction.
Director:  Carrie Sargeant csargeant@heartofcamden.org

Visit the Science Advisory Board and Environment Projects for more information about the science behind the Heart of Camden's environmental work and what we are doing.
